The whole Villa, for your group alone

From 15 people the Villa runs on exclusive use: the thirteen bungalows, the pavilion, the hammock grove and the beach, with nobody from outside. Retreats come here, and so do company teams, birdwatchers, and people who want to learn dive-fishing from the families who live on the river.

Who comes as a group

Four ways of using the same house. What changes is the shape of the day — the structure is always this one.

Retreats

The thatched pavilion holds the whole group seated in a circle, and practice starts before breakfast. After the day there are the hammocks among the trees, the beach and the river, and nobody else's schedule to work around. Yoga, meditation and teacher-training retreats have already been held here with the house closed.

Companies

Covered space for the team together, a long table to work at, and a whole day of activity outside it: trail, canoe, cassava-flour making with the communities. The team arrives together and shares the house with no one else.

About signal, let's be straight. There is Starlink on site for what cannot wait, and it will not carry the whole team through an online meeting at once. What this trip delivers is not an office with a view: it is the team in one place with no screen in between — which is usually the reason for bringing people out here at all.

Birdwatching

The good outing is the first one: before the sun, by canoe through the flooded forest and on foot through the woods, with the guide from the lodge and with the residents of Atodi, who have always walked there. There is no tower and no hide — there is the right hour, the silence, and people who know where to look.

Night dive-fishing

It goes out after dinner, in the residents' canoe. The technique is theirs: a lamp in the water, a free dive, a hand spear. The people teaching it are the people who fish there every day, and whatever the river gives that night goes to the table.

Paid directly to the community and led by people who hold the right to fish inside the Tapajós-Arapiuns Extractive Reserve. This is not sport fishing.

The Amazon, responsibly

It is what a group needs to be able to say afterwards, and here it does not rest on goodwill: there are five verifiable facts.

  1. The money goes into the community

Cassava-flour making, weaving, massage and the community visits are paid directly to the families who host the group. They do not pass through the lodge.

  2. The guide and the crew are from there

The kitchen, the boat and the route are in the hands of people who live on the river. It is local work, not an itinerary brought in from outside.

  3. Inside an extractive reserve

The Arapiuns runs inside the Tapajós-Arapiuns Extractive Reserve, and what is fished there follows the reserve's fishing agreement.

  4. The power is solar

The panels sit on the pavilion roof, in plain sight of anyone walking past, and they are where the house gets its power.

  5. The group is the size of the house

Thirteen bungalows, twenty-six guests at most. The limit is not a marketing position: it is what the Villa has.

Where the group gathers

Four shared spaces, and with exclusive use they belong only to your group: no one from outside comes in on your dates.
