Getting here

Three stages, and the last one is ours. The journey is part of it — and that is why the Villa is never crowded.

Where the Villa is

The Villa is on the Arapiuns River, west of Alter do Chão. The last leg is by boat because there is no road — which is what keeps the river empty.

What people usually worry about

  1. What if my flight is delayed?

    Let us know on WhatsApp as soon as you do. The boat leaves when the group arrives; we rearrange the time with you.

  2. Do I need to book the boat separately?

    In the packages the boat is already included. On lodge stays the transfer is arranged separately — ask for it along with the rate.

  3. How long does it take from Santarém to the Villa?

    The Alter do Chão–Villa leg is 90 minutes by boat. The time from Santarém to Alter do Chão depends on the transfer, and we arrange that with you.

  4. Is there mobile signal?

    The signal comes and goes. Settle whatever needs settling beforehand, and tell anyone who is expecting to hear from you.

  5. Can I bring children?

    You can. Tell us their ages when you get in touch, so we can think about the accommodation and the pace of the day together with you.
